Thought I would purpose a tour type trip to the Keys.
Meet up in Oxford Al on Wednesday Apr 27th
Thursday tour the International Motor Sports Museum at Talladega Superspeedway and then drive to Warner Robbins Ga.
Friday tour the Air Force Museum at Warner Robbins AFB and then drive to Tallahassee Fl.
Saturday morning tour Tallahassee Antique Car Museum and drive to Ocala Fl.
Sunday morning tour Don Garilits Museum then drive to Bradenton Fl. and meetup with Allen and Willow
Monday drive to the Key's.
What say ya'll.............
Dave, we're going to be in Talladega the weekend before that for the race. It sounds like something that we would definitely be interested in.

Well, we are thinking/planning on leaving Sunday morning early so we can stop at Big Cypress Preserve, Everglades National Park and other points of interest between here and Homestead. Spending Sunday night somewhere around Homestead / Key Largo and then take in some other points of interest (John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, Big Pine Key (Key Deer), Bahia Honda. I am also contemplating having a barbeque here on Saturday afternoon. It is a pretty good drive from here to Key West - 400 miles / 6 1/2 hours if you take I75. We are thinking about taking US41 from Naples to Homestead (2 lane road - a bit more scenic but a little slower).

All of the above sounds good to us, at this point in my life (read: retired) I like to be told where to go. We’ve got confirmed reservations in Kew West.
30 years ago, for 14 months, I spent enough money at the Hog’s Breath Saloon on Duval St to keep the doors open for a long time, I want to see if it was enough to make it this long.

Hog's Breath is still there John. I've been there quite a few times myself.

Yah, I’m hoping a bunch of cars hook up and cruise down together to make the trip more interesting.
I was also hoping the overdrive would make me like
I-75....IT DIDN’T!
I just booked the nights in Key West. We like the Holiday Inn in Key Largo (99701 Overseas Hwy, Key Largo, Florida 33037). It has a nice pool area and tiki bar with good food options in walking distance. I grabbed a room there for Sunday but will probably follow the group.
Not to pry BUT how can they just drop your claim?
Anyway to fight their decision?
Hoping for the best outcome for you.
Allstate states that they will repair the 35 creased shingles on the roof....replace the damaged panels on the garage door... in essence, 1350 dollars towards 12750worth of repairs... looks like I'm replacing the roof, repairing my garage door, and fixing the rest myself before switching insurance providers....
