Patrick, that’s ridiculous. I guess their customers are not in “good hands”. Keep on them.

Looks like you guys have a good start on this trip!

I got asked about hotel information near me. Here is what I found that is close to our house. I have never stayed at any of these properties. They are all in Bradenton on or near the river. They are about 4 miles from our house.

    Newest - at the marina
SpringHill Suites by Marriott Bradenton Downtown/Riverfront
    $118
    Nov 26–27
    2-star hotel
    102 12th St W, Bradenton, FL 34205•(941) 226-2200

    Old building but supposedly remodeled
Hampton Inn & Suites Bradenton Downtown Historic District
    $110
    Nov 26–27
    3-star hotel
    309 10th St W, Bradenton, FL 34205•(941) 746-9400

    Near the river
    Courtyard by Marriott Bradenton Sarasota/Riverfront
    $129
    Nov 26–27
    3-star hotel
100 Riverfront Dr. West, Bradenton, FL 34205•(941) 747-3727

Allstate states that they will repair the 35 creased shingles on the roof....replace the damaged panels on the garage door... in essence, 1350 dollars towards 12750worth of repairs... looks like I'm replacing the roof, repairing my garage door, and fixing the rest myself before switching insurance providers....

I just booked the nights in Key West. We like the Holiday Inn in Key Largo (99701 Overseas Hwy, Key Largo, Florida 33037). It has a nice pool area and tiki bar with good food options in walking distance. I grabbed a room there for Sunday but will probably follow the group.

Gotta figure out which car to bring now. Either the Solstice GXP or the Cutlass. Decisions, decisions.

Did it allow you to dislike it for a shorter period of time?

Spoiler alert - there is ~130 miles of I75 between Palmetto and Naples which we need to take IF we don't want to have to leave at dawn on Sunday!

Yah, I’m hoping a bunch of cars hook up and cruise down together to make the trip more interesting.

30 years ago, for 14 months, I spent enough money at the Hog’s Breath Saloon on Duval St to keep the doors open for a long time, I want to see if it was enough to make it this long.
Hog's Breath is still there John. I've been there quite a few times myself.
