Well, we are thinking/planning on leaving Sunday morning early so we can stop at Big Cypress Preserve, Everglades National Park and other points of interest between here and Homestead. Spending Sunday night somewhere around Homestead / Key Largo and then take in some other points of interest (John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, Big Pine Key (Key Deer), Bahia Honda. I am also contemplating having a barbeque here on Saturday afternoon. It is a pretty good drive from here to Key West - 400 miles / 6 1/2 hours if you take I75. We are thinking about taking US41 from Naples to Homestead (2 lane road - a bit more scenic but a little slower).Last edited by cstmwgn; October 23, 2020, 12:41 PM.

30 years ago, for 14 months, I spent enough money at the Hog’s Breath Saloon on Duval St to keep the doors open for a long time, I want to see if it was enough to make it this long.

Spoiler alert - there is ~130 miles of I75 between Palmetto and Naples which we need to take IF we don't want to have to leave at dawn on Sunday!

Not to pry BUT how can they just drop your claim?
Anyway to fight their decision?
Hoping for the best outcome for you.

I just booked the nights in Key West. We like the Holiday Inn in Key Largo (99701 Overseas Hwy, Key Largo, Florida 33037). It has a nice pool area and tiki bar with good food options in walking distance. I grabbed a room there for Sunday but will probably follow the group.Chris - HRPT Long Haul 03, 04, 05, 13, 14, 15,16 & 18
