Thanks for the pix and the summary of activities. Looks and sounds like the trip was a major success. Also, thanks for letting Jenny and I be a small part of it. Can't wait to see what y'all come up with next.

Wednesday was completely open with no set plans, Happy Cinco De Mayo!! Teri and I started off the day with breakfast at the Banana Cafe, then walked to the beach and the Souternmost Buoy. We met up at Sloppy Joe's for drinks before shopping. Later in the afternoon, we took a dip in the pool before walking to Pepe's for dinner. After dinner we walked to Mallory Square for the Sunset. Teri and I spent a little time after dark walking Duvall, then hung out poolside. Our Key West experience was almost over.

Thursday morning Chris, Karen, Leon, Ashley, Bruce, Bob and Donna got earlier than us starts. Allen, Willow, Teri and I set out around 8:30 making our way across the Overseas Highway in good time. We took the very scenic Card Sound Road at Key Largo. Along the drive we found what appeared to have been brush fires with some remaining hot spots.
We were making our way to Biscayne Bay National Park visitor center. On our way we passed by Homestead-Miami Speedway. Biscayne area is beautiful with the Miami skyline far off on the horizon. We learned about some things we saw snorkeling. This is a great place, hopefully we can come back and see more of this area.
From here we made our way through the Miami corridore of US 1, then taking Okeechobee Road on our way back to Palmetto.
Thank you everyone for an extra fun getaway. Please share your experiences and photos.
Keep a lookout for "The Great Southern Adventure" Road Trip for 2022. Big Dave is working on ideas and plans to visit his area next year.
