Some of you know my interest in trivia and history, going to the Florida Keys relates to many TV shows and movies. So I had to look up Flipper filming locations. it seems some of the show was filmed at Ivan Tors (now Greenwich) Studios in Miami, as well as Virginia Key, other parts were filmed at what is now the Dolphin Research Center on Grassy Key. There is a monument marking the grave of Mitzi the main Flipper actress. Flipper was played by several trained dolphins, most were female because they simply looked better. The scenes of Flipper tail walking was played by Mr. Glipper, a male dolphin. https://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/3319
Sooo, it is sounding more like a 2+ week trip!
Hopefully we can get another stimulus check to help pay for hotel rooms down there.

Met a guy at CTC this week who is interested in going with us to Key West. Told him about Bangshift and how to find the thread and the information. He acted sincere, we'll see
Capt may be interested in a endurance run from Central Wisconsin. But leaving right after Easter, might be Really Nipplely in the Indy Racer......
Should have the Marrakesh Express done by then, which would make a whole different adventure !!!
Hi DTB, good to see you here! If we drive, a stop in Sopchoppy would be a priority. I don't know a lot about Southern Florida or the Keys, Dave mentioned Islamorada, so I had to look it up on a map, and it looks like an amazing place. The next thing I like to do is read some history (not that I will retain much) because, after all I am Curious George. Here's a map of the Keys.....
Sounds like a fun trip. A visit to Sopchoppy is possible, but we are homeless right now. Still the HandleBar is open (back of Scooter's garage) and we spend quite a bit of time there. We building a gas station home, but don't think it will be done by the time you have your cruise.
Also, Power Tour friend Jim Durban lives part time in Islamorada, so I will see if I can get him to chime in, as he knows that area better than anyone I know. Might even be a guild for a day or two?
BTW, Enjoyed all the great pictures of y'all, thanks for sharing.
For folks that are interested in booking at the Silver Palms Inn, PM or email me (gallenpearson at gmail dot com) for a discount code that MIGHT help you save a few dollars.
