Dates are set for this springs Great Southern Tour. April 23 to April 29. Plan on arriving in Covington Louisiana on Saturday April 23 and we will stay here until April 27. On April 27 will be a travel day to Vicksburg MS and staying there until the morning of April 29. Hotel information will be posted very soon. Our tour will have us going to New Orleans on Sunday for the day, cruising the Mississippi Gulf Coast Monday and sightseeing and visiting plantations up the Mississippi River road. Still planning the Vicksburg tour so those plans will be coming soon as well.

For National Parks Passport holders seeking cancellation stamps, I see there are a couple National Parks in and around New Orleans, the New Orleans Jazz National Historic Park and the Jean Lafitti National Historic Park and Preserve. There's also the Cane River Creole National Historic Park near Natchitoches. I see that some of these places are under repairs, partially open or relocated. If not already considered in the itinerary, is it possible to fit these in depending on the situation at the time?

I checked the thread a few days ago and haven’t seen anything either. Not sure I can make it, but want to have reservations set in case I can.

I drove the route to Vicksburg yesterday and I like it, no interstate. I'm recommending that everyone stay at the Comfort Inn in Covington. Those dates will be April 23rd to 27th. I'm going back to Vicksburg in a few days to scout out a hotel there as I ran out of time yesterday. Stay tuned for farther updates.
