144 - I found this one at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas in 1989 when I was there working a two-week "Red Flag" Exercise. The USAF's version of "Top Gun". A buddy & I drove it back to NE. with nary a problem, then it sat in the corner of the garage for about 30 years. I picked up a relatively low mileage LS2/4L60E and have since picked up most everything needed to install it. Including an all new LS wiring harness. My only regret so far was that it had one small rust spot on the bottom of the passengers side fender. I pulled that & had it fixed, and while was at it I had both front fenders shot with the new original color. About a week later, patina & faded paint became popular. Just my luck. This car spent it's whole life in the desert & has beautifully faded paint. Well, except the front fenders now. The story of my life.Originally posted by stu yoakam View Post
Got my 71 in 2007 or so and it still needs a lot. Currently has a four bolt 350 with a weiand intake and FI tech TBI. Power steering leaks. Had add on A/C at one time. Put a built 200 4r in it from a builder in Florida. 12 bolt rear with Yukon axles. I have an eaton locker to put in it someday. 373 gears and 255 tires. Old school Camaro wheels painted three different colors. Factory power disc brake swap. Big block radiator cowl hood but its rough.I have a new grille tailgate and body mounts to put on one of these days.

142 Came down with something last night that is running me back & forth from the chills to sweats & keeping me from sleeping. It sucks. So, here I am at almost two a.m., getting to be the first one to post on the countdown today....when you got a fast car, you think you've got everything.
