  • high gas for P.T.

They're estimating gas average to top out in May/June at 3.80. Supposedly dropping beginning in July. August is beginning to sound better...

Premium or regular 87 octane unleaded? Paid $2.77 for 87 octane at Costco today (Madison, WI). Premium unleaded (91~no ethanol) is $3.49-3.59 at local Dells area stations (casino 3.49 — BP 3.59). Spring travel season usually causes a strong price increase, so prices around 3.50-3.80 for regular and premium over $4.00 in June would probably be likely.

87 octane was $3.96 or so for 2008's Tour. Imagine that. Deja vous all over again.

They ought to outlaw the use of 87 on Power Tour

When we completed the 2011 tour, it was 4.15 on the loop coming home.... I really think that we need to become self sufficient on oil again....and put OPEC on it's head!

If it was that easy then we should still make everything here like widgets, clothing, etc. Fracking is costly and for the frackers to make money the barrel price needs to be at certain levels. On the other hand we are a huge exporter of petroleum. If that was kept here we could be more self sufficient. As always, profit is the name of the game. I worked in this industry 45 years. We should go back to making "Made in America" the normal again!

I agree. Took me 2 days to find a weed whacker that was made in the USA. $80 more but I bought it. Unfortunately many only want cheap, that’s the problem.
