We could take the Solstice that gets 30+ mpg but that kinda seems like cheating for Power Tour. It is already scheduled for one trip this spring, They each have to have a turnDonna

I figured the difference between the Solstice and the GTO or Cutlass would be about 600.00. Thinking we are bringing the Cutlass this year.Donna

On a family road trip in 2019 we went thru StL to see the Arch. Got a little misdirection info from someone trying to help us find a place big enough to park our Duramax & 39ft 5th wheel while we were touring the Arch. They sent us across the river to where a casino parking area would be. I missed an unmarked turn and ended up in the true East StL neighborhoods.
No parking lots big enough to swing around, so I ended up doing the ‘one rt turn, 3 left turn’ tango to get the rig going the right way. It was definitely an experience. My kids had questions about the run down houses, junk cars everywhere & why there weren’t any white people around. Good teaching moment actually - them seeing there is more in the world than our little Wisconsin town.
Didn’t have any issues at all. Got a few looks, but most that watched us pass by just ignored us and went about their business. Maybe because it was early in the day?
Got ourselves back across the river to the Arch & found a city cop who took us to a ‘safe’ spot about 6 blocks from the Arch where we could park for free.
The whole point of this? I have seen that East StL area with my own eyes & can see why it is highly recommended the area be avoided.'86 Monte SS (sold) ~ HRPT 2015, '17, '18 ~ Long Hauler

For 2021 PT we stayed at Quality Inn & Suites Near St. Louis And I-255
1607 Pontiac Drive, Cahokia, IL, 62206, US
(618) 332-2000
If you aren using a GPS the zip code is an East St. Louis zip code. Cahokia didn't exist in my GPS. There were a few PT cars there in 2021
