Someday they will do a west coast and I'll be all over it - never been that far west

A group of us are doing route 66 insted of the tour next year. Anyone is welcome to join if they wish. We plan on meeting 5/29 in Springfield, MO and hitting the road the next day. Should be in Calif. in plenty of time for Pomona swap meet on June 6.

You got enough pull with them to get the group in? 8)

Right now we're looking at meeting up in Springfield, MO on 5/29/10 From there we will hit OK City, Amarillo, Albuquerque, Flagstaff, Grand Canyon/Kingman, Somewhere in SoCal, Pomona Swap meet 6/6. Should have a couple of days in SoCal to hang out, looking for suggestions....

I'll keep ya posted and will probably start a new thread soon (in the events section).

They actually did it for two years, 98 and 99. I think it was too much for the staff to be gone that long. This was when the tours were longer than 7 days too.

I've seen enough of Chicago traffic on the Power Tour to know I want to avoid it if we can. The best parts of the Power Tour have been getting to know rural America away from the big cities. The two lanes are far better than the interstates.
