Re: mini tour from fla 10'
If I am lucky enough to go in 10, I am crusin with y'all.
The trash has begun. The Camino will get a real motor and a standard trans and Papa Don is working "WFO" on his 49 Ford Pickup.
We have a few folks from this area that might meet up with us in Chat. and do the last 3 legs with us. Iowa is a long way for most folks . . . including me.
Keep me posted,

Re: mini tour from fla 10'
Perfect ???
Do you mean like Brilliant Insanity ? Well, maybe not the Brilliant part, for me anyway. Too many years on the customer side of the bar before moving over to the working side.
My years of experience have afforded me the ability to conger up a good time using only the basics. Beer, Beer, and a little more beer. Just kidding . . . Food, spirits and the key element, GOOD FOLKS ! On the Power Tour we have never come up short handed on meeting good folks. The secret to hanging out with me is knowing when to leave, which is usually right before the Police show up. Cobra can verify it happens at almost every venue. Luckily for us it is usually the rent-a-cops . . . first anyway! Seriously, most of the time they join in, especially if the toolbox grill is still cranked up. Also, Koozies come in handy for not flaunting our preferred choice of beverages.
This year I have some ideas about putting more emphasis on the grill rather than the bar. (Those darn Sopchoppy Sloppy Slammers hurt too much on the next days drive) Anyway, seems we find more "big" eaters than we do drinkers. Last year we did Gator Tail Kabobs and it was well received, so this year it will have to be something different, such as Grilled Jumbo Shrimp Sandwiches or maybe Grilled Grouper Throats. Something different for sure.
I say this to let Y'all know you are welcome at our "camp" anytime. We never turn anyone away. From food to a cold frostie, if we have some . . . so do you !
The camaraderie and friendships built during these afternoon "gatherings" is what has made the Power Tour an unmatchable experience for this Floridian,
Dave the Bartender
p.s. Cobra, calling me a good person? LAY OFF THE BEER A LITTLE, Buddy !
Mini tour 2010, oh yeah !

;DIt's not the destination, but the journey and the friends you make along the way that counts.
