Moral of today: Nitto Tires and a gravel road do not mix. $18 in quarters later...

      Pictures to follow.
      Pondering continued:

This is after I limped the GTS to the car wash...

I had putty spreader in the back of the car after running an errand last week and paid off well.

Used to to remove the 2 inches of mud and gravel off the tires and side walls.
No paint damage that I can see Carl.
No scratches as far as I can tell, only casualty was a small area on the rocker lost a little paint due to the pressure washer, but easy enough to have fixed.

I had to back up about 400-500 feet to get back to pavement.

Looks like you have a long list of improvments going on....don't worry about where that check ball goes.....
Is CSTMWGN going in for body yet?
George - you probably did not use those words but that is what I heard - quit whining and just install a freakin return line! Those are Aeroquip's version (sockless fittings and hose). The -10 slipped right on slick as a whistle but man is that -8 hose hard to push on the fittings.

As to "other improvements" - seems I broke a case - which I have yet to start pondering how that happened!
Other things to ponder on this topic include:
Is this a sign that it is time to put a T56 in it?
And if I do, just how many driveline parts could I break with it?
Will I need to pull a trailer with spare parts?

As to the "body repair" - I am still pondering that - should I just have them fix the immediate damage OR should we start over from scratch? I haven't been happy with the durability of the current paint job but I can't really justify the cost to strip it down to bare metal (AGAIN). My plan is to have them fix my truck first while I continue to think about what I am going to do with the wagon.

I have a guy off one of my Torino sites, lives in Florida, that is a paint guy. Might be able to help on that end if the wagon needs paint work.

                    • Allen, the "man up" comment was about wearing a PINK freaks shirt which I am very pleased to say you and I did!! Now as I remember Detroit (kinda), We were dicussing the return line deal and, you may be right, something like "quit whining" and get er done........or something. When did you break your trans housing? was there a leak or was it the bell housing? TKO600 that sounds like an interesting combination. You could join the ranks of Bucky in breaking parts.......maybe?

I didn't know there was a "wrong" time to serve a hurricane. As long as the wind doesn't blow the umbrella away you should be good
