Over four million people are now without power as Irene continues its assault on the East Coast. Dangerous storm surge, powerful winds and torrential rain will continue to pound the region into late Sunday.

Strangely enough, in my 'hood I'm finally sensing 'Hurricane' due to the wind. Lots a water from the sky last night but nothing perilous. Everything is good here. Lost power a little after 10:00 last night, it came back on around 2:00 then lost cable and internet about 5:00 am but all is back on now. Went for a drive a bit ago and not to bad in this area, few branches and tress down. Kids house is fine, no damage. Rain has stopped, still pretty windy out though.
