She is after my ass to redo the bathroom floor...and at the rate I am going, I am ready to rip out the bathtub and replace with a nice shower setup...and have to tile the walls.
sigh.... :-\

My trump card: POWER TOUR!!!
The GTS needs to be finished at the paint shop...um, I need to work on the interior, blah blah.

I still need to finish up the upstairs flooring...but that's after powertour. I will look forward to not having to do a bunch of angle cuts.

As far as driving the GTS...sorry, I'm teritorial about these things. My wife can't drive a stick, and, well, she would have a hell of a time reaching the pedals.

How many annoying phone calls can a person put up with in one day! Today has been over and above the prerecorded "we want to give you money" or health insurance or the ones that are simply nothing at all.

I am looking forward to seeing the 4 of you all together. Unless I am confused it should be a pair of large guys (all be it one bean pole) and a pair of pettit ladies.

As to driving a Ford, I was just assuming that Mike wouldn't want Donna to drive a real car. But it probably is safe because the Torino has a fixed roof.

Good luck Mike - check for rust under the battery mount on the radiator support, inner fender wells, floor pans, cab mounts, rockers, cab corners, bottom of the doors, bottom fo the front quarters behind whel wells, ..... at least those are what we had to fix over the years. I guess I should have said look everywhere !

Need to start considering plans for the trip home:

Plan A - leave after LH awards for home. This is a 20 + hour trip so I will be breaking it up into two days. What are your thoughts for staying the night at Boone NC and taking the BRP north on Sunday or stay at (fill in the blank)

Plan B - stay an extra day and leave for home on Sunday. This would require a midway stop somewhere +/- 60 miles from Bristol, TN....any ideas?

Tom, the BRP is a great drive, but the speed limit is 45 mph, and you'll be lucky if you can do it with all the other folks on it. Something to consider.
