      Bummed about Florida, but at least I still get to venture out for a few days!

                    • So,I sit here wonder how much hell I would catch if the AC wasn't fixed this year...not in the mood, however, to fine out.
                      {Would prefer to keep Melanie around. She's too damn ammusing to watch changing a flat tire. I think she likes the 1/2" impact a little too much.}

                        I don't know yet. Mel had to work on the 7th, but I asked to see if she could take a half a day so we could get into Indy the night before, or be able to drive a good chunk into the night, find a hotel, and have a short drive into Indy the next morning.
                        Google says it's 10-ish hours to Indy. Puts me around 6-7 hours with the way I drive, plus I want to test how the toploader, 2.75 gears, and a mild 351c at 5000 RPM will feel on the highway.

                        I am planning on shooting down I 80 eastbound until Des Moines and take a different route than the #1 route suggested of going todavenport then head south.
                        Looking at wanting to try a route I've not taken before.

                        When were you headed out? Wednesday Morning?
                        Depending on where you are, any suggestions for a motel/hotel to stop off would be helpful.

                        • i would take the i-74 route on through if i were you. I live right off of I-80 and I-55 so we will take the back roads down to I-65 . We are leaving early on Wednesday morning. if you can make it as far as Illinois the night before then stop wouldn't be as tough on ya.PM me your phone number . better yet who has the list ?
