We'll be there along with the other 5 cars in our group. Not sure how long we stay. Hope to make it to downtown Newton for the "Street Dance" as well. VA Home, Honor Flight Benefit, Street Dance. Friday is going to be a long but fun day.
OK, Everybody on Friday evening better be at least as generous as the group we had particpate in the Poker Run our car club put on today. We only had 70 entrants but these people were great. We only charged $10.00 per hand and planned to pay out the top three hands (10%, 7% 5%) and the rest was to go to Central Missouri Honor Flight. All three of the winners donated their money back and some people at the bar at the finish just walked up and donated money without a second thought. We raised $800.00 today
Open up your wallets.
I am dropping the entire $100.00 that I got for the 10 magnets I bought from Phil!!

Thats great Jim, I know everything is not final yet but......there are some things happening at the Honor Flight Fund Raiser. There are some premiums and prizes for some of the generous folks that will attend. Stop by to meet and make friends, most importantly donate to this worthy cause. Lives are changed by the creation of Honor Flight and recognition is given to so many that served without asking for anything in return.

George and Linda, Maureen and I have attended an Honor Flight Welcome Home. Attending one or flying as a guardian will move you!! As of the last flight from Central Missouri, it costs between $350.00 and $400.00 per vet for the round trip flight. I am sure the freaks will give till it hurts and I hope that others will too.
I will bring the post on the other forum to the top tomorrow to remind everyone what we are trying to acheive. Hopefully, I will meet with the Honor Flight rep in Newton on Friday morning. Our expected arrival time in Newton is 6:00 PM on Thursday. See everyone soon!!

As one who was recently on a flight carrying a fallen soldier i can say for sure when the honor guard approached our side of the plane it was a very moving experience, a gentleman in first class switched seats with the escort that was taking the soldier home for the last time,,,,,very moving and very worthy cause

Daphne and I might be able to make this, but I'm not sure yet. I'll keep you posted.
We are also talking about doing a FF meeting on Day One (Saturday) so I can give you guys some cards, decals, etc. I'll keep you posted on that as well.
Hey Chad, are we planning on meeting up Saturday ? If so please let us know.
One other thought comes to mind here gang. I'm sure Honor Flight is a 501-C3 tax exempt organization. If so, then I believe your contribution is tax deductible. Write them a check and then write it off next years taxes. It's a win-win
Thanks to everyone that donated to Honor Flight at the Okoboji Grill. You guys and gals donated a total of $1,051.00. Thank you again for opening your hearts and wallets. See you on the rest of the tour!!!!!!! A special thanks to Linda and Ken for arranging the VA Home visit. It was great. You guys are awesome.
