This is just an FYI that I found out today by an employee that drives US 68 to work everyday. He says the road is very narrow and normal traffic is already getting backed-up and slowed, so be prepared. I verified it on the 511.ky.gov website and this is what it says (US 68 eastbound: Construction work.

Construction is after you enter KY and exit I24 on exit 16 and is on the land that is between the lakes. Not sure if its worth a detour or not? Thought I would share and you can decide.
