Here is another email i got from them too

Macomb is preparing a welcome and rest stop for the Hot Rods and
drivers. Whatever you can do to help get the word out would be greatly
    appreciated.
Everything is in place to welcome the Hot Rod Power Tour for a rest stop
at Chandler Park from 1:30 to 3:30 Sunday, June 6. It is one block
south of the intersection of Highways 136 and 67. We have ordered fruit
and snacks through DJ's Steakhouse. Offerings will include applies,
bananas, grapes and oranges. Munchies will be pretzels and granola bars
while beverages are sodas, water and teas. Everything will be free. We
may use the bar area, weather dependent. DJ's Steakhouse bathrooms will
also be available for use. A two sided postcard invite will be given to
participants partnering with our peers in Keokuk and Carthage. A banner
of welcome will be up. We will have directional signs between
University Drive and Chandler Park. We will have information for pick
up on the City, the cruise nights and the car show for Heritage Days
hoping to encourage a repeat visit. We will also have stamped postcards
of Chandler Park ready if they would like to send one from the road.
Hope to meet you Sunday. Thanks so much. Katherine

Macomb IL - I remember the highlight of that town being Walmart.

I almost attended Western Illinois University there..... LOL.

I might have to stop by.

It is a little late in the day but will probably stop if we are going through when they are open. May also try and contact them to see if they would be able to adjust the time. Hate to see them go through all this work only to find out that the majority of the cars have already passed through Macomb.

I went to WIU for 2 years, and Scott did for a while as well. It's now a Super-Walmart and the HyVee.... Oh and this is in town too.

Just Contact them there at macomb via email and told them tat 11-12 start time would be.

I am glad to see that they are doing this. It is a great town, but definitely is geared around the school year because WIU is there. This has been thrown together real quick because I contacted them when I saw the tour was going through and they didn't have anything planned, and look at this now!

The park is right next to the County Court house which is in a middle of the old town square. I know there is a Drugstore on the Square that still had has a Soda Fountain Bar in it.

Hope to see you all there
