As my brother Bucky pointed out, we will be rollin in on Friday and would like to do a VA home visit again!!

Hey Matt, we may just have to alter our route just a tad. Who knows, considering where I live, we may run into the Freak's that are coming from the the Mid-West. I'm almost on the way.... :D

I would love to join the VA on friday too....i plan on leaving Chicago on Thursday...matt and bucky looking for a little running mate? It may be a long first day...but as long as i have someone to run with it won't make it as bad!

Would the Emory L. Bennett State Veterans' Nursing Home in Daytona Beach be a lot closer to Cocoa Beach? That might be easier to hit for those that will already be in Cocoa Beach on Thursday. It's probably a little over an hour to the north.

Thanks for reposting the link George. The Daytona Beach VA Home might be a better pick as some of us are stopping in Valdosta, Ga. Thursday night. Then it's only 3 and a half hours to Daytona Beach. After the 1st of the year I will call them and see what the facility is like and if they can accommodate 50-100 cars.

I am all down for the VA on friday...but it is going to be tough to make it...still thinking about 2-10 hour days...stopping in Chattanooga on Thrusday night, some of my dad's friends from CO might be meeting me there. Would have to leave really early on friday to make it to Daytona Beach or anywhere for the VA...but will try...just keep us posted and i will keep you posted.

I learned that last year, after 2 days of travel & everything going on, I missed out. :-[ , well on this a a few other 1st day event.
This year I planned to get there a day early and save an extra day in case there is a get together after the HRPT.
I'm lucky to have the extra days do get to do a few extra things

Nothing yet Scott. I will get things firmed up after the 1st of the year. Have a couple of local projects to finish, then concentrate on PT.

Our group from Northwest Illinois would be interested in participating again as well. The timing will be the key since several of us are making stops in southern Georgia and Nortern Flordia to see relatives on the way down.
