anyone heard where early (Friday) registration is going to be?; some of us were planning on hitting that on the way back from the VA......the site www.hotrodcocoabeach.com/Schedule.html has it as "tbd", while the Saturday reg. is at Fishlips @the Cove - Port Canaveral......any more info?

How far is Atlanta from Savannah? We will be coming through Savannah area sometime on Thursday.

I really want to contribute, but our convoy is not leaving Atlanta until Friday morning, likely 10:30 or so....maybe I can just drop by when I get down there...I'm staying in Daytona. Anyone leaving or coming through Atlanta that I could meet up to give my contributions to?

We haven't heard anything either, but that was our plan too. Hit registration after the VA Home visit, then check into hotel...after which let the partying begin!

Ok freaks here's the skinny on our VA Home visit for 2011:

Friday June 3rd 1pm-3pm

Emory L. Bennett Veterans Nursing Home
1920 Mason Ave, Daytona Beach, Fl 32117

Requested donations:
1) sound amplifying headsets (they have these at Radio Shack)
2) CD players
3) CD's of gospel, country and oldies music
4) Hand held magnifiers
5) Hand held games ie: solitaire, poker, etc.
6) Travel DVD's for their "front porch travels" activity
7) Karaoke CD's of oldies, gospel, and country music for their "sing along" activities
8) Talking watches for the visually impaired Veterans (also found at Radio Shack)
9) DVD/VHS player
10) Pocket radios with headsets
11) Checker board games
12) Chess game
13) Table top pin ball games
14) Trivia books
15) Puzzle books

This is one of the best donation lists I have ever gotten! Please let me know if you will be able to make this stop on Friday the 3rd from 1-3pm. Thanks freaks, you guys and gals are the best!
