An update guys and gals...I've emailed my contact at the VA home twice and gotten no response. I even sent them the link to this thread. I will keep on them for a list of acceptable donations.
Thanks for asking Phil! Actually finally got an email this morning with the list of donations they would like. Didn't have time before work to post it, so will do that tonight. Looking forward to this visit!

Lin.....thanks for doing the work....I'm not much of a shopper; would they accept a cash (check) donation, or would it be better to go out and get some of the items on the list? rexx

Dave, that is the list just as I got it, but I'm sure they will take cash or check donation to purchase what they need. As you all will see, there are no magazines or books listed (ie-hot rod, car craft) nor are there shirts or baseball hats. I'm emailing to see if these items would be OK to bring too.

Already have my shopping shoes on.....will bring a couple of items, along with a $moolah$ check rexx
I'm going to try my best to make it this year. I planned on leaving Pensacola at 6am. However, that wouldn't put me there in time due to the time change from CST to EST. I'm going to try 5am. I'll also ask my church group for donations from that list.
