The Garlits museum is a must-see! We spent 5 hours there in 2005 and really left too soon. There must be more hemi motors in there than you can shake a stick at. Lots of awesome history about drag racing, and automobiles in general, not just Don Garlits. Well worth the admission price!Comment

I was going to stop at the Jefferson Davis Memorial last year in Kentucky but missed it somehow. And I regret not stopping longer at Chickamauga - I enjoy Civil War history. I think I was born 100 years too late.
