New project in the garage!!!

While I was embroidering shirts for you guys yesterday, Vic called me from the shop and told me he bought us a new project. It's a 1982 El Camino Royal Knight. Body is good with just a little surface rust. Paint is shot, though. And someone installed a sunroof in it!! I think this one will probably be the keeper! I have always loved the elkies, and especially the Black Knight and Royal Knight editions!
And they even threw in the trash in the back for free!!

Would like to take the 350 Vortech out of the present Elkie and put in it, switch trannies too. Paint it, new interior, new decals, debating whether to restore it bone-stock or with a modern twist.

That's the tranny that puked it's guts!! There are also some mason jars of food that have frozen and busted, and who knows what's at the bottom of the pile!!!!

What d'ya mean, if Vic documents the work?!! Now who do you really think will be the one to do that? ;D ;D :D :D
Besides, I'll be helping with it. I switched out and redid the interior on the one I'm driving now (except for the actual upholstery work).

Choo Choo custom was 1 of 800 they did
car was made in Mexico then sent to Tennessee (now Honest Charley)
it's different than what you have
it is original except I swapped out the bench seat for buckets

I met a guy from Fort Lauderdale on PT10 that had a 87 IROC El Camino done at the same facility in Chattanooga. Supposedly 1 of like 30.

I've read about the Choo Choo Customs but never seen one except for pictures. I like the idea of bucket seats, this one has that stupid 55-45 split. Would like to do regular buckets and put in a floor console between them.
