Been to a Red Roof Inn? In Springfield in 2010 we had a door that locked, a phone that worked and a tv with no remote.
The other guys I talked to that night were missing one of the 3. LOL

We've tried Motel 6 and Super 8, and agree, either can be a crap shoot! Got in a Super 8 on the way to Bristol in 09, There was blood on the sheets!!!

My travel agent(my wife) just knocked $20. off our Detroit rooms at a Motel 6. $78 plus tax for 2 nights.
We are down to $439 for the tour plus one stop near Davenport.

Ok just booked rooms At HI on Van Dyke and HIE in Wixom for the 1st and 2nd. I will cancel one or the other once stop one is all figured out. Then It's the Days Inn in Grand Haven for the 3rd. Haven't got one for IL yet that will be my last stop on the trip. I want to stay there but we might hang out for a while and start the trip towards home and stay along the road somewhere. Just to shorten our 10hr trip home.

    Some changes to the above.
6/1 and 6/2 are Holiday Inn Express - Brighton
6/5 will be Holiday Inn Express - Fenton MO

Also, we might actually head back towards Madison on Saturday to attend Monster Mopar Spring Fling on Sunday, in which case we wouldn't go home via Memphis.

I made that mistake in 2010 Bob - booked three HEI's for the last three stops - thought I was doing great until I realized NO CANCELLATIONS OR changes allowed AND they charge your card right then and there too - I'll remember that.

Actually i am heading to ROLLA,MO. to do some rte.66 stuff; so probably not going to stay in FENTON. makes drive that day shorter and more sideroad time. want to go to DEVILS ELBOW BRIDGE , AND take in some local stuff.
