Priceline works great for both Madison and Arlington. For Madison use St Louis, hit the downtown area. I scored the Sheraton for $45 a night ($40 may even be possible?), rings in at just under $60 with taxes. I believe it was 3.5 stars. 6 miles from Gateway Raceway. Appears to have free parking based on Google Satellite image. Arlington I hit the DFW Airport South Area and scored the Park Inn for $45, again rang up just under $60 with taxes. Free parking for sure there as it isn't downtown or really too close to the airport, they have a nice big parking lot with nothing else around it. 7 miles from the event site, don't even have to get on the freeway to get to the hotel. My first Priceline attempts for Champaign, Miami, and Stillwater all failed and the later two problaby never will work. I work at MPG, needless to say I know nothing about trying to priceline there but I would be you can hit Novi for $50 or less.
Not a regular poster here but had an account already so I figured I'd come provide my cheap hotel insight.
I set up HIE Fenton as well as Randoll Mill Rd, Arlington. Still need to deal with Miami. IF Route 66 is the theme then Vinita OK would be a good choice also. Good for now, I will keep checking for availability.

Hey 70ChevyC-10,
I have reservations at the Hampton Inn in Collinsville, which is right across the street from the Comfort Inn.
I stayed at the Comfort Inn in '04, and there was one heck of a burn-out contest going on in the street between the two hotels.
It lasted a good hour and a half until the cops decided to show up. Hopefully it will get started again this year.
I also have reservations at the Microtel Inn Miami. Maybe we can meet-up.

Sounds good to me - lawn chair-check, cooler-check, camera-check, let the burnouts begin. Sorta like Dayton in 09 right Ed ?
I'll be driving this Danny - and you won't be hard to find with all the drool marks on your 61, that's a nice ride.

Hey Phil, we saw that truck on one of the recent tours & wondered who it was since the plate had to be either Omaha or Lincoln. Think that I saw the '70 in one of the last three years too. Is that possible?
...when you got a fast car, you think you've got everything.
Here's my new plate - and I took the green one in 2008 from Lincoln to Ames to Rochester... then I was hooked like a bass on a bobber.
I saw this one in Detroit last year and almost got whiplash doing a double take, same colors as mine.

The one we were wise not to park you in without the curb cut flat......the neighbor across the street loved your Ferd parked in his drive, surprised he didn't move his boat and let you park it inside the garage actually.
