Hotel Reservations coming available, We're canceling ours, can't go :-(

We’ve found that we aren’t going to be able to go on the 2012 Power Tour!!!!
Kids, money, pet care, more money, etc.


I am cancelling our Hotel reservations tonight.

I’m going to take a little break from the computer first so I’ll probably start on it about 9pm tonight. (central time)

I thought I would give a heads up to someone on this board who would like to have these rooms.

I booked our rooms in January and even then it was getting hard to get anything close to
the events or venues.

I have tried to give the correct phone numbers to call each hotel direct, if that helps.

Hotels at locations marked with Red Asterisks are hard to get, or the ones close by have no vacancy.

In Detroit I chose to book a room in Warren because I read (on here) that it’s close to where most of the fun stuff was happening. There were still a lot available when I checked, guess everyone didn’t read that same post……

Ours were about as close to everything as I could get at the time. Some towns just don’t have anything left.


So, if you see this post and wanted to go but couldn’t get a room, here’s your chance.


I don’t know how reservations work, if it’s better to call the hotel direct or to book it online.

I do know that it took me a while to line everything out, while trying to get the best location at the best price.

These rooms are mostly ones for two people and with one queen or king, though a few have two beds.

Anyway, whoever gets them

Sadly, I just cancelled ALL of my rooms..... So Holiday Inn and HIE should have some rooms now open if anyone is still looking.

I'll be arriving in Detroit on June 1st but I think it will be too late to attend. That is really awesome of you all to take time out of the HRPT to thank the vets! And I'm sure it is a big highlight for them, too.

The starting weekend is just full of stuff that I'd love to do. The Lingenfelter Tour and the Belle Island GP are both on my bucket list but I don't think I'll have time this year.

Thanks! I was in the military for 11 1/2 years but now I'm a contractor.

And the little red car is a 2007 Victory Red Corvette Z06. I've been a Vette fan since I had die cast ones in my toy box, so I was finally able to get one in October 2009.

The Vette doesn't get much use while I'm working overseas...but she's gonna get a workout on the Power Tour!

Ok anyone trying to figure out how to long haul but having $ issues ? My copilot and I are interested in sharing rooms or some sort of $ saving measure. We both have the time off and I think the car will be ready but not sure we can afford a long haul. We may sleep in the car one night or something ......

As of rite now the only reservation I have made is in muskegon at the HI next where the burn outs were last year

I'm working in northern Afghanistan now but I'll be home in time to take the little red car on my first Power Tour.

Just wanted to thank everyone that contributed to this thread. I have been reading it when I get time after work and even though I'm booking my rooms late, it has helped! Thanks much.
