I need rooms in detroit, muskegoen, and the nex 2 stops, can someone who has booked extras help a brother out?

I got lost going into Indy too - it sucked.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger, we did too...

We spent a couple of hours getting through traffic from the Indy city limits to the track. Especially frustrating to me because I had been to Indy every year since 1984 for the Super Chevy Show & know that end of town pretty well. But the way that they brought us in was not through that area.

On the lighter side we did have a late model Mustang follow us quite a ways until he figured out what we already knew. Hey, we're lost! About a half-dozen of us ended up going counter-clockwise around the outside of the track with a bunch of other cars going clockwise. When they started hanging out of the windows pointing for us to go back the way that they were, we knew that they had already been where we were headed. And it was wrong too. But we finally found our way in & later made the lap which turned out to be the best of the "your car" pictures we had from the whole route.

Kind of left-handed payback for us being on the other end of it from Coco Beach to Georgia Motorsports. We got lost in north Florida & saw an orange 68-9 GTO go across us while we were waiting at a light. So we said "Well, he must know where he's going. So we'll follow him. A couple of miles down the road he pulls over & gets out with a map. We all had a good laugh over it. It is part of the fun of the trip to us.

I just decided to stay in Fenton, I booked tonight at the Pear Tree for $88. Going to cancle at the Casino Queen in Madison, just was'nt comfortable with the casino. Worried about the truck.

Think i am going to stay in the Fenton Area on Tuesday night now...However looking at the list seems to be a split between the Hampton Inn and the HIE. They are about 2 miles apart.... I can't get into the HIE but the Drury Inn next door has room, and so does the Pear Tree Inn (owned by Drury INN). I also would stay at the Hampton Inn.

Wheres the bigger party going to be? and who is where?

It was a looong 3rd day after 3 or 4 days ? of over over 100 degree driving in my non-A/C car. I was cross-eyed ---> %)
Then not being able to get in the venue since I was late (I found the entrance with 4 other cars after 6PM) there was a clusterf*** with the security, and there was a time zone change involved, I needed a beer.
I was expecting more people to show up, that was a cool place.. I had the info printed out in my loose binder
I usually don't like to talk about things that went wrong & that day was full of them ahahah, GLAD you came there...

And here I thought we were the only ones going in circles before we even got to the track ;)

Thanks Linda, Bill and everyone else. I am now partialy unconfused. After meeting Bill and the others last weekend I cant wait for the tour. Bill sorry to cause flashbacks, at least they are good ones, not like some from previous lives. Linda you are right its only about 2 hrs to OK city and I could cancle that night but like Bill said maybe I'll hang around, Ill play it by ear, I can always cancle the day before.

That was a cool place - I think everyone else was burned out or still waiting to get on the track at Indy. Rett and Chuck were over at the bar owner's place checking out his Baldwin Motion cars.
