Here's some Rte. 66 info Jack from Mississippi offered up so graciously.

When you get to the bottom of the page click the left or right arrows for more information on the next state(s).

Just don't lose all your spending cash bro - lunch is at the Elbow Inn on Rte. 66 the next day - yes - the Route 66.
I was on it (Route 66) in the 70's on my full dresser but I don't remember much of the 70's if you know what I mean.

You are a funny man Mike!! Phil, Lunch at the Elbow Inn sounds good to us. Our car club is crusing to that stretch of 66 in April but I think that we are eating at the BBQ place at the 66 and route 28 junction near Ft. Leonard Wood.

It's not an official stop Bruce, no. And it has limited parking what I saw.

looks like a really neat, offbeat kind of place. got 4-1/2 out of 5 stars. when i goggled it though, they showed three other BBQ places near by that got 4 to 5 stars also.

That was my "date" Jack - I was packin' double, carrying all the tools and beer - no wonder the SOB puked it's guts trying to keep up with that 750 Kaw.

See - they're half again as good as those other places - but I heard it's mostly a biker bar so we'll fit in.
