I'll be in Detroit Thursday evening, staying at the Redroof in Farmington Hills.Last edited by rocco3750; March 10, 2012, 01:27 PM.

Do most people go to the drivers meetings or meet up somewhere for breakfast in the mornings? Being my first tour, I'd like to travel with a group at least this year.

Not giving up my room untill I find something else.

Back on subject, I-44 will be running East in the morning traffic, so you can get on 44 West and zoom away. FYI, within 5 miles of that are 2 common areas for speed traps, so watch your speed out to Fenton.

I'm not sure if I'd stay downtown by the Arch. Granted, it's been several years since I stayed downtown, but it's not the best area. For the cars that we're driving, there is NO way I would trust that car downtown over night. Your odds of it being in one piece aren't the greatest. Not only that, but even with traffic coming inbound, the intersection of all the interstates right by the Arch can get backed up no matter what. If you're coming from the Illinois side, the exit ramp for I70 has always been a nightmare and continues to be that way. On top of that, I haven't even touched up on construction.
Just my two cents brother.....

I look forward to saying hello over a cold one.
Anyone staying at the Casino Queen?
I'm kind of thinking of changing to Fenton, where is everyone staying there?Last edited by rocco3750; March 8, 2012, 01:40 PM.
