PHIL ? that was a low blow !

T/A Cobra, Thanks for sharing the pix. While I enjoyed the shop with a working bar and a stage . . . It really looks great filled with cars.

All I can add to the previous comments is, "in this tough economy, I say diversify, diversify!" Plus, Thanks for saving a few GM's from the crusher.

You know me anything for a laugh buddy ... and if I had the cash I'd have me a herd of crossbreeds too.

Those cars seem to be in pretty good shape should make for a quick turn around and cash is always better than brand.

Definitely digging the brown one. I've had a thing for T/A's for a while now, and I'm always checking craigslist and eBay. I don't think you'll have any problem flipping them, if you can part with them.

the black one comes with it's numbers matching 403, i just have to go pick it up. i am going to put it back in because of the higher worth a stock block will bring.

what prices are you seeing out there?
the white one needs interior and has some rust/damage on most panels, but is solid underneath. it needs fuel system cleaned out and brake work. i was thinking starting at $5,000.00.
the black car has very little rust. two small dents on the front fenders. some interior work needed(carpet, maybe door panels), and of course, the engine. we want to get it running. SE's are suppose to be special. NADA has $33,500.00 on #1 cars.

Prices seem to be all over the map, I've definitely seen some really nice fully restored cars pushing the high 30's / low 40's with the Anniversary Package or something special like that. Saw one that claimed $100K spent on the resto, asking $42K - ouch! I've also seen nice looking cars in the low-teens. 4-speeds and Pontiac motors seem to bring more money than the Olds 403 auto cars. I saw an article I think in Hemmings Muscle Machines a while back, and they compared the 403 to the 400, and they came out about even. They built a lot of them in '79 (wikipedia says 116,535), so there's lots for sale to choose from. It might be harder to get a lot of money for one that's rusty.

I've been looking more at '75-'76s, maybe a 455 4-speed. The '70-'74s are just way more than I would care to spend. I'd be fine with a nice driver.

                              Here's that article comparing the '79 T.A.T.A.'s.

Here's a twin to your brown car, with a new paint job. Looks like it needs some interior work and some tidying up under the hood. Sitting at $7900 with no bids yet, and practically in my backyard. Might have to go take a look.
