i prefer a menu also, but if we have a large crowd, it might take them awhile to get out orders. the buffet was their idea. i'm sure either way, they will take orders off the menu also. i'll continue to talk to them and see whats up. we still have plenty of time to figure it out. everyone, please make your preferance known. thanks.

got an email from Clantons this morning.
          20-25 for a buffet. $8 a head.
i'm thinking "no buffet". menu would have more variety and options.
          what does everyone else think?

emailed Clantons. they are open for breakfast and can handle 150 people at one time. breakfast menu is standard fare...eggs, pancakes, french toast, bacon, etc. they said they would email me a menu. they also said that if we have enough people, they could do a breakfast buffet for us. but if we have them do this for us, i think we need solid commitments from everyone.

I'm thinking if they know we are bringing 20+ people that they might staff the kitchen accordingly. Ordering off the menu might be smart, I don't eat enough to get $8 worth. JMHO

might i suggest vinsetta's garage it was a famous shop in the detroit area for something like 90 yrs recently shut down and the owner of autoweek magazine went partners with some investors bought the property and turned it into a restuarant. from what i see on the net it opens 5/1 might be a neat place
