Drivers Meetings Going Or Not ?

heck no. it's not worth the traffic jam getting out of there. i want to drive, not sit.

I' am not going to any. I went to the first one in Madison, WI in 09. and I got very lucky I was about the 10th car to pull out behind the PT bus. I heard bad stories from those who left in the middle and back of the crowd on how bad traffic was. So now I just leave about the time of the meeting is and stop for food somewhere along the way and watch a few cars go by and join in along the route. And for day one this year I' am be staying in Wixcom area so it looks like a stright run up route 23 and we should be able to jump right in with the group as they go by at M-57. Heck there's enough Freaks staying in the Wixcom area we can make our own drivers meeting and all head the same route from there.

we were the LAST ones to leave the DM a few times

Eric, Yes that is the Valdosta stop drivers meeting..And just look at the really cools cars and truck in the front row..Who's cool cars are they..CA_NY_NE plates..We covered the USA from end to end and in the middle..

Isent that that fun? Being in pack looking at all the cool cars going down the road? I'll go to them, no hurry to get to the venues, they will be there when I get there. I rushed to them last year and kind of missed out on the drive. I'm not a long hauler so getting the stamp means nothing.

We would like to go to the first one. Thats when all the hoopla, blah blah blah, Thanks for coming have a safe trip is said. The photo ops are more than plentiful, always meet people from previous tours. Usuall none of the others, with that said, I am concerned about how we are all going to get out of Warren without there being a complete mess.......

Good take on it - the experience is really better than a token, I've met and seen old friends at the drivers meetings, and ate alot of energy bars for breakfast too.

This is my first Power Tour, I will go to the first DM. I read a lot of Power Tour Veterans saying they will skip them, and the majority wins.
