George (200wins) & Teri are in Montana for a wedding this weekend. I know several of us are staying at the Holiday Inn on Gordon Drive which is walking distance to the Drags, Beer Garden, Bands (2 each evening) etc., etc. - more the merrier, c'mon out.

We will be there. I think George already has a general idea of where we are going to cruise. Norb & Terry are coming too. We will be driving up US 63 to US 36 in Macon then west to St. Joe and pick up I-29 to Sioux City. It's about an 8 hour drive from our house. I don't know which car we are taking yet but leaning towards the Camaro since the Vette goes to Eureka Springs Arkansas in October for Corvette Weekend and we will probably take it on PT next year. I don't want any jealousy between the two cars!!

And tentatively - Ed & I (and the wives) plan to wait for you guys (over a leisurely lunch) somewhere in the Omaha metropolitan area, likely the Old Market downtown. Then we can phone contact when you are near and we will saddle up.

General idea is there, we are working out some details this week. Right now we are proposing taking off 8:30ish from Sioux City and cruising upstream to Yankton, SD with scenic stops along the way. Dinner in Yankton and getting back to Sioux City in the afternoon. We are going to run this idea Wednesday to check travel times to see if everything fits. More later.......I will ask for a count of people after I work out the details. This should be fun!!

My wife suggested Quaker Steak & Lube right off I-29 in Council Bluffs too. But if they see the Bass Pro Shops we'll never get on the road !! Jim - you might think about meeting Ed south of K.C. too if possible.

Phil, Our plan to drive up US 63 and across US 36 is to avoid KC traffic altogether and jump on I-29 on the east side of St. Joe and then boogie to Omaha.

Skipping KC traffic is a good plan!! Traveling north traffic gets a little congested where I29 and I80 come together and split off near Council Bluffs. This is also the area of QS&L, Bass Pros and the Horseshoe Casino. Other than that I29 is pretty smooth sailing. Take the "Downtown" exit at SC (Sioux City), drive straight into the Holiday Inn. Word of advice; SC is big on Stop Light violation cameras around town and Speed Cameras on the Interstate. SC makes a lot of money everyday off those violation cameras.

We ran part of the proposed cruise this evening, should be fun!!
