2013 Hotel Thread

Despite the route taking us SO FAR from home I love the fact I'll be visiting places I've never been (and some I have). The drive home from NC to CA will be acertain challenge.

I can't believe how close some of you were to the route Cities... damn you're good.

It would have been nice if Hot Rod gave us the exact place of each day's event. Some of these cities are HUGE. Making hotel reservations today could place you an hour from the actual event and way off the route.

Thoughts?

I would stay away from Arrowood in Charlotte...look at Bruton Smith Blvd or Gateway. Several hotels including a Great Wolf Lodge. Ton of places to eat, Hooters, Quaker Steak & Lube, TGI Fridays etc...

Most double then cancel when more sure.......

Arlington- same as this year
Little Rock - probably the fairgrounds
Memphis - dragstrip
Birmingham - Regions field, dogtrack,(sounds like their hinting at Barbers)
Chattanooga - community college

the others not so sure......even though Birmingham has had it in a couple of places......

Why that place in little rock?

mccain blvd is north and across the river a ways from the venue...it's a very congested area also.

I had a chance to meet some of you on here at Wixom, St. Louis and Stillwater and on past Power Tours, all great poeple. Customwagon, Bob (sorry for flipping you off in the picture at Stillwater), and several others. I really dont post much, but like to lurk. Having said that I am willing to hold the finish line party at my place in Mooresville NC, about 30 minutes from the Speedway. Plenty of hotels close by.

I ready to saddle up and go again can't wait till next year will do long haul next year I believe we met you Big Dave at the comfort inn in Perry OK we were in a yellow srt 8 Challenger and a yellow Daytona Charger form Indiana first timer what a great time

Comp Cams said the venue in Memphis would be at Memphis Motorsports Park between Memphis and Millington.

McCain is a better area than south of the river, and you can come across on 30
