$1000 for hotels - and that doesn't even include the pre/post tour stuff!

I guess the economy is picking up for you'all!

that's why i don't take my son on the power tour
i'd get stuck with the bill for hotels, food and gas
my 2 time co-pilot picks up half the tab for everything :D

I hate to tell ya'll this, but there is no Regents Stadium in Hoover.... I live here and if it's here, someone needs to point it out to me??? Now, there is a stadium, Legion Field, and it's where Auburn and Alabama used to play the Iron Bowl; however it's in the Heart of Birmingham, not Hoover and it's Ghetto. Hints why they stopped playing the Iron Bowl there. There is a park in Hoover called Regions Park and that is where the tour stopped in 2010. Just clarifying a few things....

And just to clarify a bit more, I'm not sure where "trainman" gets his info, but if you click the link on his page for the address, it does not take you to any type of stadium, whether it's a baseball or football. 100 Municipal Ln, Birmingham (Hoover) is the middle of a bunch of buildings. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say, that's not where it's going to be.

Regions Park is where we stopped in 2010.

The address is 100 Ben Chapman Drive, Hoover, AL Access is gained by using I-459 Exit 10, travel east on John Hawkins Parkway, turn right (south) on Stadium Trace Parkway then left (east) onto Ben Chapman Drive into the parking lot. It is also referred to as Hoover Metropolitan Stadium.

That is exactly what I stated and reiterated..... Regions Park and the address that Trainman has posted is the wrong address. You should Google-map itor MapQuest it.... It's pretty funny..... Ha Ha Ha!!!!

I might add that my mom lives in Hoover and I can tell you that traffic is hellish no matter the time of day. Getting in and out of this area will be difficult at best.

Will probably book all Best Westerns again. The points program is very good and we have never had a problem with the reservations.

Big Dave, I agree, which is why I told people to stay in Trussville. I'm not going to get stuck leaving Birmingham on a week day. Plus all the construction.... No thanks!!
