If Family Events is calling the shots, then the name of the tour should be renamed FAMILY EVENTS HOT ROD TOUR. There are plenty of West Coast cities that can handle the amount of participants if one looks hard enough. A venue in Sacramento, California, could be CalExpo which hosts the state fair as well as many other events throughout the year. I think the main reason why it doesn't go further west is because of the time involved for Family Events employees. I don't think they want to be three weeks away from home. As I see it, if west coast participants are willing to drive a week each way to participate, why can't those involved with putting on the tour do the same? If Hot Rod Magazine and Family events wants my money, then they should treat their participants equally.

Sound to me like you need to have your own Power Tour then you can run it the way you want.

I heard from a vendor that Charlotte was going to be the last stop on next year's tour. I have absolutely no idea if that adds any credence to it or not.

I wish and probably could do a better job of it as well. The long haulers would get VIP treatment and more coverage in the magazine to start.
