got a call today from a friend that knows someone trying to sell a complete front cap to a 72' gran torino. haven't seen it yet and still trying to get more info. asking $1,200.00. anyone want me to check into it?

Bruce, I'm a cheap ass. I would not give more than $500 for a whole car.
If the fenders are not rotted in the lips, and not toast in the lower area...and it's a gran Torino front clip with the sport hood...hard to say. It's a 1 year only front clip.
With that said, it's a popular swap for 73 Torinos. Only deal is you need 1972 Frame horns to weld to the frame.Andrew
