I didnt realise tail of the dragon was on the second route. I have seen video footage of that road and it looks amazing. I don mind which way it goes as it gives me an excuse to come drive in states i have no other reason to visit.

the second route is more likely, any farther west and you loose the east coast people. Any farther east and the left coast folks don't come. I'd love for it to end somewhere within a day of Nashville.

The tail of the dragon sounds like fun for all you guys with newer cars, but I have a 68 chevelle that handles like a fat chick on a water bed. Sounds like fun anyway. Maybe I will have to invest in tubular control arms or something before next year if the route goes that way.

Tail of the Dragon is one all should do. I done the Tail last summer, and it was a blast. The wife got sick and had to take Dramamine for the ride back. As far as what to do it in, my brother-in-law did it in a pickup truck and had as much fun as I did with the Solstice.
It's not the destination, but the journey and the friends you make along the way that counts.

I hope they at least pass through here again sometime in the future. I don't know if I'm going to make it or not for this one.

The late model GTO's did a Tail of the Dragon run last fall. It's an amazing stretch of road. Of course there's no way the sponsor's big rigs or the Hot Rod bus could navigate that course. Some of it was used in the Two-Lane Blacktop movie.
