As of today (June 4, 2008) the bridge that crosses the Mississippi River at Winona, Minnesota was closed by MNDOT and will remain closed for several weeks. http://www.postbulletin.com/newsmana...p?z=2&a=345872 When you are leaving Rochester, MN and heading east to Wisconsin on Hwy 14, you will not be able to cross the river. You will need to drive south to LaCrosse, WI to get across. Just a heads up!

The bridge in Winona was NOT part of the route. 14 stays in MN until you get to La CrosseComment
