Good one Ed. I do miss the beast. If the Nova was finished I could take it. Although my son wouldn't be happy that his car was on tour without him.

What year is the truck? I know the Lightnings were known for a front end clunk at full lock, so if it is pre 03 I wouldn't worry about it. I know there have been about 100 iterations of Harley trucks at this point though.

Had to make the plan B call last week......will use the Yukon this year. I really like using the F150 as plan B,( it has DV plates which helps with tickets) but a tree fell on it and I have $500 ded. which would have robbed money(already short) from the 58, which is still underfunded........oh well, we still always have fun.

The only Plan B I've had to do was after the 2nd stop on the '06 Tour. And then @ least it was a Javelin, not something embarassing to be Touring in.

                              This year....

I intended to try to get my `57 Ford Custom assembled, but life got in the way...One of my bathrooms needed some help, and when I got into it, it snowballed into a ton of work, about three or four weeks worth. So, in order to be able to make the trip, I got my `61 F100 unibody roadworthy by overhauling a new 5.0 for it, swapped the 3.70 gear for a 3.10, replaced the axle bearings, put in a new fuel tank, and began the debugging process about two weeks ago. So far, so good. Plan B is still a cool ride, needs paint desperately, but still cool, to me anyway.
Building Fords the old way, one good part at a time.

New 5.0 as in coyote motor? Or new 5.0 as in fuel injected windsor that is new for a '61 truck?
