361 to go.
Back to work this morning. But on the bright side I put in my request for vacation for June 5-13, 2014. So the bosses have already been informed and it was emailed with me saving a copy. When you work in a small shop they only allow one person on vacation at a time so you have to get the request in early. Already started the 2014 Power Tour piggy bank. 361......and counting.
I also had to get back to work today. It was really depressing.
This was my first long haul. I now know that even with the drawer liner stuff in the bed, a wheeled cooler isn't a great idea. Every time I spun the tires or gunned the throttle, that stupid thing slid all over the bed. HAHA I'll have another plan for '14!! I also went WAY over budget on gas. Oh, well. I'll play catch up for a couple months, then start saving for next year!!"Life is tough. Life is tougher if you're stupid" - John Wayne

361...Happy Belated Birthday Patrick
We are home and waiting on next year already. We had a great time seeing lots of the freaks in the hotels and/or on the road. A couple great parties thrown in and it was an awesome tour.FKA Redragtop

361 Passed some BS'ers the first day out & got passed by a few as we headed home. We ran across Tennessee & made it to Paducah for Saturday night. And ran smack dab into the Superman "convention" across the river in Metropolis, Illinois. Superman conventions = almost no hotel rooms. And lots of oddly attired people at breakfast the next morning. Including a guy with a polo shirt with the big "S" emblem on it. Laura figured he must be driving a Corvette & I wanted to ask him to fly around the room a couple of times. You know, just to prove he was really Superman. We hit a wall of water the next day when we got to St. Louis. Ran out of it for a bit but kept going in & out of it all the way across Hwy. 36 in northern Missouri. Made it home around 10:00 Sunday night. Had a great time as usual & got to meet a few more people....when you got a fast car, you think you've got everything.
