Hey Mark here ( the 57 210 that was in your hotel in Arlington ) I broke a couple times as well but nothing that old not be fixed. My Trans is the Kieslers RS Trans. It is made from a Shelby / Mustang GT Trans . It fits with no tunnel issues at all. I got as much as 21 mpg with this thing.
The late model Camaros and Corvetts are cool but it takes a real man to set out on a trip this long in a 56 year old car......you are the man.

thanks guys for all the info and Bucky it was for the transmission bell housing and the hydraulic clutch because I already have the pedal assembly is in the car I left it in just left it under the carpet and the crossmember and everything
