I was wondering just what they do. What kind of problems they work on, and how you go about getting them to do it? How long are they available for?

They travel along with the rest of us. At the venue, they have a shop set up and will help with any problems you may have. They can handle about any problem to keep you on the road.

Also you only pay for the parts not for labor, a great deal.

Do you have to locate your own parts? Or do they have avenues at each stop to help with rounding up parts. Also do they close at 6?

NAPA was on board for several years, had a booth at the venue. Any parts that were not available locally, they would try to have them over night. I would guess the Medics closed when the Venue did. I have also seen the Medics stop during the trip when a large group was gathered and ask if anyone needed help. You have to supply your own parts.

I thought YOU had to supply the parts and they would work on just about anything and any kind of car. They did have normal fluids on hand though. My .02 cents, I never broke down.. Maybe you might want to ask Bernie.
I just love my Hot Rods.

That was the way that I understood it too. I had the Malibu in there at Indy, 2011. The young guys working it at that time spent most of the time in shock that I was running points & didn't have any pretty plug wire looms. I ended up fixing the problems (there were 2) myself the next day. They were however working very hard in some very hot weather.

They do close up at 6 each evening and you have to furnish the parts. They work on worst cases first and you are put on a list. I've been told that fewer and fewer cars have needed repairs the last few years. A great bunch of guys!

Thanks for all the replies, last year was our first year, and we lost the brake booster in Hot Springs. The replacement part, which Midas charged us 3 times the cost of, was from Little Rock. So I thought I'd ask questions about the Medics ahead of time.

Not to mention that most hotel parking lots turn into repair shops and most of us have the tools to help out. I always carried my floor jack and stands but now I carry the full toolbox too.
