Re: Power Tour final stop BRISTOL

what the hell do you get for 1000.00

I would never stay at a choice hotel ever again

you can just drive down the road what 20 miles and save 900.00

This is the HRPT not a weekend of nascar junkies we have a whole week of hotel rooms and what 1,000.00 in gas

Do you think we should let the Hot Rod Guys know could they do anything

I called the Sheraton in Madison and the rate was $265.00 a night and i think that is crazy

Curiosity got the best of me and I called Comfort Inn (I think it was the main office) and they agree that that price must be an error and they are going to check into it. Methinks somebody got the decimal point in the wrong place

That's just crazy. I hope that place is a ghost town when we're there.

You should see the prices for a NASCAR race weekend there. Since we cover that area what we do is just rent a house for like $3800 and it fits our probably 5 person team well enough. Its crazy and they are thinking NASCAR level attendance and are charging accordingly.

Checked their website for that night-not many rooms left. I hope people got their rooms before the price increase. If not, I need to talk to their financial planner so I could afford that kind of money to throw away

Over at the Hot Rod Forum there is a message from a Choice Hotels representative stating that this has to be a mistake and that they are contacting the hotel to try and resolve this problem. Let's see if anything gets done about the price gouging.

I'm glad to know that so many people share my opinion about this. I'll see you at the Holiday Inn in Bristol.
