it appears that troubled GM has weird priorities

just read an article in the local paper the they made 427 new big block alumium 427 430hsp motors
our local dealership received 1 of 6 in Canada
someone with lots of money poneyed up $30,000.00 plus for this

Why GM made it - well I question why they bother to making anything but the fact that someone bought it might be a good reason.

Why someone would pay 30k for a crate motor - what are the CEOs of Financial institutions supposed to spend your money on?

No disrespect intended, but I think GM is making those motors because 'market research' suggest GM Performance Parts, the division that's marketing this 'go power', will make a good profit on them.

What have been able to discern lately is that GMPP is a money maker for Mr Wagoner. I am also assuming that this why HRM does not seem concerned about GMPP sponsorship on the '09 Tour - IMHO

GM as a company is in the red, but as stated before GMPP could stand alone even if gm mooved to the moon
