Kool Deadwood Nites was August 21-24 in Deadwood South Dakota. The weekend is filled with activities, Poker Runs, Car Show, Classic Car Auction, Concerts and entertainment. We had not planned to attend this, however one day my wife says..... "If we had a room in Spearfish would you want to go to Deadwood?"........... Well that was answered with an immediate YES!! So we cruised the '73 Pontiac to Deadwood Friday afternoon (450 miles) and spent the weekend in the Black Hills. Fun time!! Here are a few pictures.......

Great pictures George! Maybe we will look at that for next year. I haven't been to Deadwood since my scooter days back in the 70's. The worst kept secret back in the day was that Deadwood was where the action was. In those days you only went to Sturgis if you wanted to watch the races or hill climbs.

Deadwood is a Casino Town, years ago there was a little "Wild West" still going on. Deadwood has so much history from the Gold Rush days, names like Potato Creek Johnny, Calamity Jane, Jack McCall and Wild Bill Hickok and others were made famous from this little town.
