I'd look at getting a Microsquirt ECU to run it. Simple wiring, run it batch fire with just a crank sensor (no cam sensor) and a pair of wasted spark...

I haven't tried yet, but if I can get the two wire clamps to loop one wire around the snorkel and one wire around the hose, then the adapter will be captured...

I think the surface contact area reduction would reduce friction since the snorkel tubes are solid and smooth. I may leave them be if these dual wire...
