eBay Find: This 1967 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Is Mint! This Hardtop Would Be A Killer Cruiser!

When I was a kid, if you hunted around long enough and stayed away from the more desirable model names, you could pick up an extremely nice 1960s era ride for a song. That was in the late 1990s. We’re twenty years past that and now, you are going to pay for pretty much anything that is still a decent driver fifty years on. Or are you? Think about it for a second…sure, if you think you are getting a 1968 Camaro for a couple of thousand dollars, you shouldn’t expect running, driving, or even “in one piece”. But if you know where to look, you can still find the occasional well-taken care of ride, the one-family car that is still in very presentable condition. Ebay might not seem to be the most hospitable place for such a find, but take a look at this 1967 Oldsmobile Delta 88 and tell me this wouldn’t be a score for a few grand.

It might be related to the Chevrolet Impala, but if you didn’t know that fact you’d never believe that the two models were related. The Olds has a look all of it’s own with different sculpting along the sides. The “Mountain Green Metallic” paint looks more like mint green with the black vinyl roof, and the small Cragar-like five spokes on thin whitewalls look period-correct and perfect. Under the hood the 425 sits, a barely broken-in mill with 65,000-ish miles on the clock. And the interior is spot on, with nothing appearing to be out of place. This is the kind of car that could soak up miles all day long and look good doing it, and since it’s not an Impala, chances are good that only the hard-core Olds fan is paying attention. How much do you think it will go for?

I like it…big and green two of my favorite things…Needs more tire…and I would crap can the white walls…nice stereo, go thru the suspension….then drive and watch the miles melt away…..

I disagree, it looks killer with the cragars and whitewalls! I’m guessing $5K buys it and a good price too.

My neighbor in LA had his grandma’s 38,000 mile original ’67 Delta 88. Just like this but in gold.
