Rolling Apartment: Junkyard Digs Shows You How To Pimp Out An Old Conversion Van

Look hard enough, and you’ll still see the occasional conversion van running around. There was one in my family, a Ford from about 1989, wearing multi-brown paint, turbine wheels, and a fluffy brown interior that at least was as comfortable as the sales books claimed it was. Several road trips were taken in that van, and then…no more van. I never saw it again after a 2001 trip to Colorado. And I never thought that I’d be thinking about a conversion van, but leave it to Kevin from Junkyard Digs to come up with a reason for going vanning. His rig is a 1992 GMC Vandura G20…small-block Chevrolet with TPI, 700R4 automatic, and enough blue mouse fur seating surface give you the impression that you were floating along in the ocean if you were really out of it after that brownie you bought in Colorado. Kevin intends on using the GMC as a mini RV and has been busy rigging the van up to everything up to the modern era…except for those super-sweet tiny fans. Hit play below and check out the work that he’s done to this GM breadbox and see if you could come up with anything else you would’ve done!

You are not going to run an air conditioner on less than 2,500 watts. That’s about 1 minute on a car battery. Put YOUR picture back up.
