Normally when we show you a vehicle on an autocross that you normally wouldn’t expect to be there, you get wild, sideways fun but a lap time that isn’t what you would call “competitive”. In the case of this 1995 Lincoln Town car, however, all that’s left after a couple of fairly clean laps is one question: where did all of the body roll go? A Town Car should have scraped doorhandles as the overly soft suspension tries to corner that hard, yet this big Lincoln does a fairly amazing job with some pretty flat cornering, and the car is doing all of this work with four people riding along in plush, air-conditioned comfort. Comfort, speed, and a few passengers along for a hell-raising ride through cones that never saw that front bumper coming. This is how to race.
